The SafeFAST Elite Class I is a Class I biological safety cabinet specifically designed for the safe handling of potentially hazardous or infectious materials. It provides effective protection for operators and the surrounding environment without introducing return air into the work area - a key safety benefit when working with unknown or hazardous substances.

The cabinet is fully compliant with the European standard EN 12469:2000 and represents state-of-the-art safety technology in the field of microbiological laboratory equipment.

    The SafeFAST Elite Class I is based on the safety concept of 100 % air extraction:

    • The air is drawn in through the front opening so that a continuous air flow is directed away from the operator - this effectively protects against aerosols, particles or infectious droplets.
    • The intake air flows through a G3 pre-filter (for coarse dust) and an H14 HEPA filter in accordance with EN 1822.
    • The filtered air is then discharged directly into the environment - there is no air recirculation in the working area.

    This design ensures constant personal protection, especially when working with non-sterile or hazardous substances. Product protection is not the focus of Class I.

    The SafeFAST Elite Class I is ideal for applications where only personal protection is required. Typical areas of application:
