Biological safety cabinets
SafeFAST Classic Class II B2

The safety cabinet must be connected to an exhaust air system. It does not have an exhaust air motor.

In contrast to standard Class II cabinets, where part of the air is recirculated, the SafeFAST Classic B2 discharges all contaminated air from the work area directly to the outside via an external exhaust air system. This effectively protects both personnel and the laboratory environment from vapours and aerosols from chemicals:

• Vapours and aerosols from chemicals
• Cytostatics and toxic substances
• Volatile organic compounds (VOCs)
• High-risk biological agents

The SafeFAST Classic B2 is therefore particularly suitable for applications with increased risk or strict GMP requirements.

• 100 % exhaust air operation: no air recirculation in the work area
• Vertical laminar flow in the work area ensures controlled, low-turbulence unidirectional displacement flow
• HEPA filtration (H14) in accordance with EN 1822: Retention of 99.995 % of all particles ≥ 0.3 µm
• Connection to on-site centralised exhaust air system required - for safe disposal of process air
